I've posted the following to the Autodesk Civil 3D Discussion Group at autodesk.com but I thought I'd try here as well - thanks

Hello,
One of our Civil Engineers is getting a consistent crash when the following steps are taken.

He creates a drawing in Civil 3D, the drawing is opened by AutoCAD 2006 and some modifications are made, he reopens the drawing (sometimes he cannot open it - Recover results in a crash in these cases) in Civil 3D and the program asks to fix present errors by running Audit. If he responds yes, the program crashes. If he responds no the drawing comes up and if he tries to save it at that point it crashes. I don't know if he'd be able to work on it or not, he only tried saving. We've received confirmation of this behavior from an engineer in another of our office's as well.

Any help would be great, is there a patch for this? We've got SP2 installed.

I'm not sure if this bug is still alive or not, but there used to be a problem when one user would set tthe drawing up using a specific plotter as default and then the next user did not have that plotter defined in their system. This would create an error that would make ACAD. LDT and MAP crash when the second user tried to open the file. Check the settings in the Options under Plotting to see if it is set to a specific plotter.?
