Im having a bit of trouble with Access and Acad. Im just now getting around to doing the ATP course on this (ATP085) and have run into something that I cant figure out. Its out of the archives now, so cant search there. I searched the forums, but found nothing there either. I get to the part where I set up the data link and all goes well; test the connection and thats ok. Then, in dbconnect manager, I double click on the Central_Database file and get an error message. Have tried everything I can think of, but nothing yet. Ill attach a screenshot of the message Im getting. Eric Wing taught this class, so if you have and suggestions to get me past this point, would greatly appreciate it. I am in the process of learning Access, so thought this ATP course would help. So far it has, till I hit this snag. Any suggestions out there? Moderators, wasnt sure if this was the appropriate place or not, since this class is long over with, so if you need/want to move it, go right ahead.

Hi
Try the following results obtained via an Autodesk Discussion Groups search...
Client AND Unable AND Establish AND SQL AND OLE AND DB (http://discussion.autodesk.com/search.jspa?numResults=25&source=forumlist%7C8&q=Client+AND+Unable+AND+Establish+AND+SQL+AND+OLE+AND+DB&inputEntered=true&objID=c8) - 7 results.
Sorry, I have not got the time myself to work through those results.

I have sent a message to Eric Wing, asking if he can spare the time to review this thread.
Have a good one, Mike

Just a suggestion - Paul could post the database in this thread, thus allowing everyone the opportunity to learn from this thread.

Eric, If im understanding what you are asking me, using ACAD 2000 and MS Access 2000 on WinNt.
Can you send me the database? <A href="mailto:eew@khhpc.com">eew@khhpc.com (eew@khhpc.com)Not sure here what you are asking me for. The database I was making in the ATP course? Im new to access and databases, so just bear with me. Not a problem sending it, just not sure what you want.
And Mike, thanks for the links. I looked at them, and they were the same problem I am having, but the fixes didn't work for me. Something else going on here.

Yes, post the .dwg file and the .mdb file in this thread so I can physically see what you have.

Ok Eric, heres the .mdb file (zipped). As far as a .dwg file, dont have one associated with this except a blank drawing used with the ATP course. But, I'll post it too. Ive gone back through the notes and tried all this again, but still get to this point and can't go any further and don't know why. If you can get me over this hump, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Mike,
No, I didn't because I didn't want to bother him offline. If he has time to look at this on here, that is ok.
