Callout Blocks and Categories

Is there a system variable or some way to determine which callout blocks are available dependent on category?

it seems that when i define categories like detail, elevation, etc for my views, i am not shown the option for a callout block when i am referencing them on a plan view. but if i right-click (in the view list tab) and change the set category to (none), then i have options for whatever blocks i may have loaded in the properties of the sheet set.

any ideas? similar experiences?

Sure, Mike.
here's what happened. there were no blocks for the specific category (i'm right-clicking from the View List), so when i right-clicked to place a callout block, there was an option to define the blocks for this category. that opened a dialog box that let me choose which blocks should be available for the category. and wahlah!
