PDF distribution of CAD files are generally meant for viewing purpose only. But we can issue the PDF files to subcontractors/vendors who need the full-scale hardcopy for review. Doing so we can protect our CAD file from unwanted editing.
* In cad, plot the drawing as usual with suitable scale & page size by selecting PDF writer
as the plotter (Adobe Acrobat, cutePDF etc. are providing PDF printers)
* Open the saved PDF in Acrobat reader/Adobe Acrobat
* PRINT -> Select plotting media -> Choose the option under Page Handling "Choose Paper Source by PDF page size"
which will plot on the exact scale of drawing it is set on AutoCAD
