Furring wall type linework

How can I modify the linework of a wall type, such that a furring wall only has a heavy line on the outside face? I want this change to happen at every instance of this wall type, I do not want to modify the linework at each occurance.

Use the "join geometry" tool and select the furring wall and the wall that is being furred. This will do two things. First, all windows, doors, etc placed in one wall will cut through both. Seondly, Revit will see the line between the two as a "common edge" and will adjust the lineweight accordingly (go into settings->object styles to change the weight of common edges).

If this is new construction you can add the furring right into the wall system itself, instead of 2 walls parallel, have 1.
