OK Jim,
Is this a test?
Best I could come up with is Southern Cal Revit Users Group?
Do I win the prize?

Jim, for guys like you and I anything with the term 'RUG' in it is pretty close to the bone. I think that may be why UKRUG morphed into ARUKUG which is more of a mouthful.

SCRUG is good.

Another group started up in Sacramento, so they are SRUG, but the one in San Francisco is an unpronouncable SFRUG. Since NCRUG (Northern California) can't be said either, how about BARUG. (Bay Area)

Any suggestions?

We may be starting one here, too, in the "Inland Empire" which is Pomona/Riverside/San Bernardino Area.

IERUG doesn't sound right, so I was thinking RUGIE, (ROO-gie, not RUH-gie!) since the original RUGI is becoming part of AUGI.

I like BARUG. It's got a ring to it!

I was thinking of calling the S.F. group 'BA-DA-BIM' for 'Bay Area District Association of Building Information Modelers'. But then I thought that would be too cheesy. :)

So 'BARUG' might be the way to go!
