I got the Dotsoft newsletter via email today announcing a product that watches selected folders on a server and converts Word and Excel files into a .dwg whenever the Word/Excel files are created or changed.

This product is being targeted at the ACAD market, but it seems that us Revit users could link the .dwg file in just as easily to a drafting view in Revit .
Who knows what Revit 9.0 holds for us, but this might not be a bad option until then or beyond.
