Sloping Glazing - can it be joined?

I have 2 areas sloping glazing, both at the same level, same pitch etc and they meet at a shared valley (effectively). Is there a way to convert it into 1 combined area of sloping glazing... and thus use a trapazoid mullion at the intersection rather than 2 rectangular mullions... ?

I have tried join geometry and join roof... but neither has worked so far...

Any suggestions? What am I doing wrong? Do I need to draw the whole lot again and in 1 go?? :evil:
