Hello,

I am currently designing a 3 story hillside house. I lowered all of my levels by 10 feet by lowering the elevations in the east elevation view..

The problem that I am running into is that now when I try to add a wall to level 2 the program puts the wall on level 1. I went into properties and set the base level for level 2 from level 1 to level 2but I get an error message -"the Top Constraint is invalid for the Level".

There must be something else that I need to change in order to get my new levels to work correctly.
Does anyone know what that is?

Thank you,

Steve Shkolnik

Sorry Guys,

Please cancel this thread. I just realized that I had clicked on Foundation wall instead of retaining wall by mistake. Problem Solved.

Thank you

Bringing this back from the dead....
Having the EXACT same problem.

Can anyone explain why this happens with foundation walls? Is there somekind of "concept" behind it?

Hi,
There could be several reasons, but the first thing I'd check would be that the Level Lines moved with the model. I've seen people window the model and drag it up or down but they forget these need to be amended to reflect the new RL's.
