I created this block for a strip light that has a visibility parameter to switch to emergency lighting. when inserted at 1 to 1 it workes fine, but when i scale it up or insert it at another scale factor it does not work correctly.

Advantage is that you only have to stretch one side, and remember that if you want to use the center of circle as insertion, you can 'TAB' and cycle thru your parameter nodes (cycle availability found in BE properties). also, constrain your 'distance' to a list of available product lengths. (you can change the default dist. at your whim in Tool Palette icon properties) anyway, here's what i did for your block....

hey Chris thanks for the response. I'm still having the same problem with the block that you made as well. I have been inserting them at a uniform scale. Try to insert it at a scale of 96 then stretch it. When I do this the hatch is kind of wacky.

When I do this the hatch is kind of wacky. when working in cad files, do you start w/ a new file (from template) or do you 'recycle' files.... also, select block and try right clicking and select 'reset block' from shortcut menu. iv'e found that can kick it into working as designed.

I appreciate you trying to help me, but I cant't seem to get this to work right. I started a brand new drawing and inserted it at a uniform scale of 1 and everything works fine. When I insert it at 96 the hatch gets messed up when I stretch it, and reseting the block doesn't seem to help.

I have that problem all the time as well. The solution I've come to (really, it's more of a workaround) is to either regenall, or to change visibitlity states (for example - from vis state 1 to vis state 2 and back to 1). Normally, this fixes it for me. I have a feeling it's a setting in CAD but I've been unable to figure it out so far .... :(
