For anyone who is interested I found this software and it works awesome. By far the best I have ever tried. Basically you draw what you want in autocad, select what you've drawn and it turns it into a hatch pattern.
To take it into revit you need to add this to the .pat file to make it a model pattern
;%TYPE=MODEL
and you need to get rid of the text they add to the pat file
