I hope to never hook up my Revit box to the internet. I got the latest build to install, but not the templates, materials, etc.

I don't want to jump in and goof things up, so I'm asking: how should I get the other "parts" into the program?

(I downloaded to a jumpdrive on a different computer to get the install files, or at least thought I did)

You make this sound like some kind of worthy goal we should all be aspiring to... concerned you're spending too much time on AUGI? :p

Well, if you have a CD, install Revit from the CD as one would normally do, and then install the latest build and check the ~"skip download content" check box.

If no CD, well, you're going to have to get the content from the web (on the same page you got the latest build). You can download all the content off the website using another computer and copy it over to your new computer and unzip it. I believe the website indicates where to unzip it to.

Maybe I should have started like this:

Hi. My name is Wendell. I admit that I have no power over this augi thing in my life.....

I have downloaded the .cab files, if that's what you mean. I just want to make sure I get ALL the correct files in the correct places, and don't goof things up...

Thanks
Wendell

Yes, the cab files.

Here's the Revit 8.1 link:
http://revit.autodesk.com/Building/8.1/common/download.asp?en-us

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select "Autodesk Revit Building 8.1 Content and Libraries". Under each cab file, it indicates where you should extract them to.
