So how long did it take you? How long would you say it took you to get the feel for Revit?

I have been using Revit off and on since 3.1, but nothing this elaborate. Most of my stuff is Retail interiors and I don't get to post those :( .

I was 30 hours getting to this point. This is just a shell. Plans were done already and the client wanted to see how it would look.

I had no real experience with Revit roofs other then some simple gables, before this project. I think a comparably complex project would take half that time or less.

Even back at 3.1 it did not take long to get a feel for Revit. There are a few key concepts to grasp, Reference Planes, Subcategories, etc. but when ever I have needed to do something it is usually easy to find how to do it.
