I was wondering if anyone else has encountered a problem with the inconsistent display of normal <By Category> linework for walls in plan. What I mean is that linework has not been altered, but some walls are showing up with thin cut edges & some are showing up with the cut edges displayed correctly. The walls are adjacent to each other (or may even be the same wall) & otherwise have identical properties. I noticed this beginning with Revit 6.0. Please see the attached image.

Strange indeed. Is this just a display issue or are they plotting incorrectly as well? If the former, I would suspect a video card / Open GL issue.

That is the way they plot (& preview) too. And attempting to change the linework has no effect on the thin lines--only on those lines displaying correctly.

I've seen this happen when there are really 2 walls overlapping. try deleting the wall, my guess is you will find another wall under it.

Always a result of two walls overlapping from my experiance...

Nope. Only one wall there. When I delete it, there's no wall remaining in its place, and I get the familiar message about rooms not being enclosed any more.

Check in section that there isn't another wall above or below your cut plan or on another phase. I'm pretty sure there is something over lapping or do you have a plan region there? What if you delete and rebuild the wall do you get the same thing.

I think you need to look at your object styles and set the projection and cut to the same line weight. I bet your projection is heavier than your cut and is showing through.

The odd thing is that this behavior is occurring on the same wall, even at places on only one side of the wall, as is showing up normally in some places (in the image, see the stairwell wall for an example of this).
Weird. Why do you attribute it to linework? Have you used linework on these walls? It looks as if the cut style is dropped somehow...

FK, I guess I'm just using "linework" for lack of a better term. I haven't applied any linework to this wall.

Before you delete the wall, just select all the doors and windows and ctrl c them then delete the wall and replace. then paste align the doors and windows.
