What the heck are 'roads'?

OK, so link a Revit file into another one, and then go to the Visibility Control, and look at the Imported RVT tab. There's a category called 'Roads'. There aren't any roads in Revit (currently) and it seems that this checkbox doesn't do anything. Anyone want to take a guess or know what it's doing there? It's been there since 8 came out as far as I can tell.
