View Full Version : brick paver question
I am trying to put in a brick paver sidewalk using a toposurface. I started with a simple site-grass material surface and then used the split surface tool to cut in the sidewalk. I then changed new split sidewalk surface to a brick material that has a brick pattern, but got an error message that patterns can't be displayed on toposurfaces. The color showed up correctly, but sure enough no pattern! Is this the best result I can expect or is there a better way?
As always thanks for the help!

Toposurfs do not carry patterns, however, try it as a floor on top of the toposurf..

Hi
You can also make a PAD in the toposurface.
This is the best option because the FLOOR does not fill empty spaces, nor cut terrain, PAD does.
Once you create the PAD you can assign a material to it by changing it's properties (Properties, Edit, Duplicate... Etc) or PAINTing it.

Jairo,
I would agree with that except for when you need sloped paving, then it becomes an issue of sloping the pad which can't be done.
You can however slope a floor as close to the topo surface as possible.
