I did a search, and made a 3d view, then went to View > Orient > and picked the elevation i wanted...
Nothing shows up! I went in to the vg and checked that everything is turned on, and i opened up the crop region to make sure i wasnt missing it (but shouldnt it be the same as the elvevation?).
Any idea why nothing shows up?

I have not used a 3d view to render an elevation before, instead you may want to creat a camera view and uncheck the perspective box prior to placing it, then rotate it to face the building squarely. That sould work. to trouble shoot this go to a site plan, right click the the 3d view in browser and select show camera in case it did something funny. that sould show you region and depth.

How do i uncheck the perspective box prior? its grayed out after, and i cant get in to properties without placing it...
EDIT: Nevermind... It took the options box a few seconds to pop up, i didnt see it...
Thanks!

****, nevermind. Evidently you should draw the camera really close to the building if its not in perspective, lol...
God, im dumb...

You don't need to sketch camera close to building but you need to make sure that back clipping plane is far enough to include what you want to see. Use "show camera" and move your clipping plane.
Hi all!
Here is the question: That elevation shows normally in shaded/hidden line/... views? If not, than you should check location of blue line (view arrow of the elevation symbol selected). That line determines place, from which you start seeing your model.
Moving elevaton symbol does not produce automatic movement of the blue line, which remains still, silently waiting your action.
