Locking grid lines to imported drawings

Is there a way to lock REVIT drawn grid lines to the imported background CAD file?

I want to make sure that if someone changes the original grid drawing it will automatically move my grid in REVIT.

Just pin your dwg and also pin your Revit Grids.

You can lock Revit's grid to the background Cad File, but it won't help you. If the autocad grid changes location, Revit will try to find a solution, and it won't be what you want....

If you pin the DWG file, and lock the grids, the one thing revit will do for you, when the dwg grids change direction, is give you a warning that a constrain needs to be removed before continuing...then you would have to notice where the changes occur....
