Gents,

I have a new project that's requiring a shell package for a new building addition. I cad drafted a typical wall section and would like to feedback on the best way to tackle this wall in Revit. I've attached an image of the wall section. If anyone can give me some insight on how to approach the creation of this wall in Revit it would be a tremendous help. Thanks guys.

That's not one wall, but several.
I'd draw:
Wall for the parapet.
Soffit
Curtain Wall
Ceiling and wall for the spandrel panel enclosure.
Knee wall with sweep for the lower portion. If the foundation doesn't step too much I'd probably draw that together with the knee wall.

Thanks for the reply, looks like a good start, anyone else care to commit?

Aaron,

You're saying the soffit is a wall type too?

I'd do the soffit as a soffit <on the roof menu>. Or as a ceiling.

FWIW, depending on what the elevation looks like, i might draw it w/out the curtain walls, then come back later and embed curtain walls in locations where glazing occurs...

Aaron,

You said:

"Ceiling and wall for the spandrel panel enclosure."

What are you refering to when you say "ceiling"? Wouldn't the panel be completely made from a wall?
