Levels visible in Section View

Sorry for such a newbie question: I'm working in a section view with the model as an underlay to add detail components. I'd like to retain some of the level annotations, but they disappear when I turn off the underlay. Am I approaching this detail the wrong way or overlooking something?

Don't be sorry for any question... only way to learn.

In the section view you have the model displayed as an underlay, when you have the detail components drawn / inserted and you have traced any model linework you want, just turn off the element ( the wall probably ) using Visibility Graphics categories and the levels will remain visible. Keep the model display checked as underlay in View Properties.
