Conc. / metal deck floor

Is there anyway to add/embed a profile for a metal deck inside a concrete floor assembly. It would just be nice to see the deck profile when you cut a section.

The only real way is with in place families. However we tried it once and it brought our systems to a standstill due to the immense number of faces required.

Take a look at the file attached. There is a metal deck and concrete floor slab.

It is our current opinion that detail components work better.
