Roof Not Allowing Roof Joins

I can not get two roofs (41 degree and a 70 degree) to join.
I am working on an rear second floor addition to a
1 1/2 story English Tudor and placing 2 new dormers on
the front of the house.

If you look at the section the front entry roof element
gets real thick at the point of intersection. I have put
a blue circle around the extra thickness on the
section attached. I don't know how to get entry roof
to thin down. Both roofs are made out of the same roof
construction.

I have enclosed the real photo, my model in 3D,
the section of my model, and the plan of the model.

Help.

Could the thickness youre seeing is because of the depth of the section ?
Can you post the model ?

This has happened to me on a model also. I can select the left roof and it will cut to the slope of the right roof but the right will not slope at all.
