Welcome to Student Support!

This forum was created as a result of the sudden realization that, student users do not always have access to the official support resources that professional users enjoy. This is a place specifically for students and instructors who use Revit in an academic environment to discuss Revit and get answers to their support questions. Please feel free to ask anything, we have a "There is no dumb question" policy.

It is also our hope that this forum will become a great place for professional users to seek out skilled Revit interns for positions in their firms.

Enjoy

My first question is how to post questions. Do you post a new topic, or is there another area for questions? My second question is about circular roofs. I have been trying to create a circular roof with a pitch and I'm not having any luck. Any help?

Answer to #1 is that you are correct...you post a new topic. Please do a search for the topic before you post, however. It may have already been addressed.

Answer to #2 can be found here (http://www.zoogdesign.com/forums/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=13738&highlight=conical+roof#13738)

I saw a recent post where it was mentioned that many students may not have access to the latest Revit version, and that many students are still using version 5.1. At the same time, many who post model families do so in the latest version. Wouldn't that make a case for being able to "save as" to an earlier version?
