The following images are the same railing type in two different projects, the settings are exactly the same but the railing in the second image show as if they have been cut by something. Has anyone seen or had this happen to them before, any suggestions?
Regards, Paul.

It looks as though the railing family is broken in some way as the spindles breach the handrail in the second model too. Is it a stock railing family?
My only other guess is that you have some rogue void that is cutting it for some reason or that perhaps the railing curves forward and then back (show a 3D) and the main plane plane of the elevation is set too close and is cutting the railing.

Hi Pete, thanks for the reply, it's just standard components, no void to found either and it appears in the same location in all the railings no matter where it is first or second floor, north, southeast etc.s (see attached 3D images). Its drawn exactly the same as on the other three model files which all work fine. Very strange, have sent it into reseller support to see what they can find.

Are you sure the settings are the same? (Not doubting you, just I've said this before and somethings been off and put egg on myface). ;)
It looks like there would be a setting for the baluster to start at one point (base), then go to the second (intermediate level), then start again with an offset, then stop again. Very interesting. Is this from making the railings from scratch? or did you import the railing definition from another project? Did you try Copying the railing from one project to the clipboard and then pasting in?
Suggestion:
Rename this railing type to another name.
Delete this railing type in this model
Purge old railing type
Transfer project settings for this railing from the model that does work.
Change the railing properties to be of the new, imported definition.
(IF this doesn't work, do the same but delete all the railings also, and remake after importing new definition.)
Let us know!

Paul,
It looks like it has something to do with the top offset & base offset in the Edit Baluster Placement dialog box.

Sorry I've not posted back, the problem turned out to be the void at the top of the railing that give it its top cut angle had for some reason moved, dont know why as its the same railing as in four other projects that I'd TPSed in. It was just in this model file that it started to act funny.
