There is a new phenomenon a foot, looking for Revit users. How are you guys supplementing your needs for good Revit users? We are doing internal training and all is well, but we have more needs than "up to speed" users. We have advertised on Monster.com:

http://jobsearch.monster.com/jobsearch.asp?q=revit&sort=rv&vw=b&cy=US&re=14&brd=1%2C1862%2C1863

and the AIA.

Do you guys have any other suggestions on where to advertise? Where would you look if you were looking for work/a job?

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS AS A BLATANT “HELP WANTED AD” ON ZOOG. IT’S NOT; WE ARE LOOKING FOR IDEAS ON WHERE TO LOOK. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME YOUR RESUME.

Being "Downsized" at my former company, these are the first places to look in my community, maybe these will give you some ideas.

even if it was/is. I have absolutely no problem with that. People can feel free to post job openings in this forum.

Even so, we are not trying to "steal" people from here (as we have been accused of in the past), we are just trying to get more information on where to look.

Jim, if you ever decide that you do want to steel someone I'll quite happily offer myself up as a potential kidnap prospect. Only for while though, you know just a chance to get away from the constant rain in these parts and see the sun for once. :D

Paul I would ignore what Jim says & just send him your cv

You won't want to come back though (except for Xmas etc)

Take your boogieboard out of the cupboard & get going

Has to be Newport Beach then .... unless he has an office in Hawaii

But you might have to join the London office first to get transferred later ~ just thinking about Green Card type problems ..

Got it ..

Marry Jim!!

Office Locations: London, Newport Beach, LA, Seattle, Orlando, Honolulu, Singapore. I am personally waiting for us to open an office in Fiji or Tahiti but would settle for Boulder too.

Florida Architect would work for knowledge in Orlando office for a week to gain Revit experience. Interested?
Very good at ADT3.3, Accurender, some Revit experience, some sketch-up experience.

The last guy we hired contacted us through our Autodesk reseller. You could talk to your reseller and let them know you are looking for Revit users - they may know of someone that is looking.

Forgot to mention that above, thanks, they know too.

Jim, if you open an office in Boulder please don't tell Mrs J, she would start packing right away.

Rhys and I have just advertised for a Revit user to be shared between our two practices in the main architectural recruitment paper here, Building Design, we got a trickle rather than a flood of responses and none of them had the right skills out of the box. We are willing to be completely lexible on location and work patterns as the offices are perhaps an hour apart, despite that I was surprised by the slow response. I think you will find it continues to be a tough call to find ready skilled people, even in the US with the larger installed user base.

Have you tried Craig's List. It is regional and looks funky, but it is sometimes very effective.
