Does anyone know why a point table resizes itself automatically when I zoom in and out of my layout? If I zoom out and regen, the table resizes larger. If I zoom in and regen, it gets smaller.

Sounds like it is picking up your VPORT scale factor and applying it to your table and text settings.

I've got two vports (main view=1:1, overview=1:60)
Would locking their display help?
Table style is set to 3" for title/header/data text.
I've tried both auto width and manual width on columns.
It seems like the "dynamic" checkbox would deal with this during table creation, but I think it has more to do with controlling update of data edits.

Since the tables are dynamic in the sizing, I would think that locking the Vport would eliminate your problem

I wish I could use the tools and manage the point groups efficiently, but I've seen a lot of bugs in Map'06. This whole release has been pretty disappointing. -Pretty hard to believe Autodesk did this. Although the number of new and useful features seemed exciting, they should have thoroughly tested - maybe too many at once led to imperfect and rushed release.
1. Query definition (using values in a column/field to group points by layouts and categories).
2. Point tables resize.
3. Data values absent in point table.
4. Point text size excessively large in model space.
etc, etc.

Wait a month and see if things change. The latest Rel. '07 should be coming out in the next two weeks or so. There are some REAL time savers in it and a lot of bug fixes.

Was this ever resolved? I'm still having issues in C3D 09 where my Points Tables are scaling according to the zoom factor (via mouse wheel). I have inserted a Point Table in Paperspace, and the darn thing won't settle down!

You would need to ask that in the C3D forums.
After 2006 Map 3D did away with point tables.
