Can you import plot styles or pcp files from Revit to Autocad?
I am working on a project that was imported from Revit. All lineweights are printing the same thickness with no contrast. Is there a setting or file that I can export into Autocad ?
Thanks

Roula,

I don't think you can export a .pcp from REVIT, it just does not work that way. Let me take a shot to explain this,

REVIT has a export setting for .dwg files, you can find that under File>Import-Export Settings>Export Layers DWG/DXF.

This basically references a .txt file that looks like this,

# Revit Export Layers
# Maps Categories and Subcategories to layer names and color numbers
# Category <tab> Subcategory <tab> Layer name <tab> Color number <tab>
# Cut layer name <tab> Cut color number
# Do not remove the colon ( : ) after certain category names.
# -----------------------------------------------------
Area Polylines A-AREA-BDRY 1 A-AREA-BDRY 1
Area Tags A-AREA-IDEN 2 A-AREA-IDEN 2
Callouts A-ANNO-SYMB 6 A-ANNO-SYMB 6
Casework A-FLOR-CASE 3 A-FLOR-CASE 3
Casework Tags I-ELEV-IDEN 5 I-ELEV-IDEN 5
Ceiling Tags A-CLNG-IDEN 6 A-CLNG-IDEN 6
Ceilings A-CLNG-SUSP 5 A-CLNG-SUSP 5

You can edit this or create you own file. What we have done is created a file, so that when we export from REVIT to AutoCAD, it would translate everything to the correct layer as typically you would have, if you had drawn it in AutoCAD itself and then you would use your regular AutoCAD .pcp file to print with.

Hope this helps
