Importing Autocad Fill (Solid or Solid Hatch)

Hi All

IS there any work around in importing Autocad solid hatch or even solid fill ?

i have lot of old drawings which have solid fills in them but when I link them, the solid fills disappear.

I can import solid hatch without any problem.(R 2000 )

If the fills are in R14 or earlier, that could well be a problem. You may need one of the commercial conversion programs to solve this.

are you certain that these are solid fills ala Hatch patterns and not filled regions? Filled regions, an older way to do a solid hatch that was easy to edit (prior to associtive hatch), don't translate into Revit. We ran into this at Huntsman with old drawings where the Building Core was shaded solid by a combination of solid regions and polylines with width :screwy:

Talk about a nightmare...
