What would be the best way to make an auditorium floor that slopes but also curves? Basically the seating arangement has curving rows, so the sloping floor follows the curving rows, and so I would need something akin to having a curved slope-defining line. Is there any way to do this?

In place family sweep, with the Arc as the path and the profile is the slope you'd like.

I make the aisles as floors that slope, then and inplace floor family that sweeps between the aisles, this lets you pick the aisle as the host for your seating to follow.

hmm well the space I'm modelling has a rectangular auditorium with parallell sides, front and rear, and then the floor slopes in a continuous arc from one side to the other (aisles included). So I guess I would have to use a sweep and then chop off the sides with voids. Can an in-place floor sweep host my chairs?

Create your chairs as floor based family. Hope this helps
