We have been using Revit for over a year now and are very impressed and happy with how it works. One slight problem has been the Roof Fascia on Gable Ends. I am still trying to find the best way to both do & show them. I was hoping to get some suggestion from other long time Revit users on your methods! I have been using the create in place feature and creating a sweep path and profile. This method works well for the fascia but now it seems to be crashing Revit 6.1. Has anyone else had this poblem? When I use the Roof Facia Sweep I have problems with it mitering the way I want becasue for some reason the profile comes in at a crazy angle (see attached Images).

Thanks,

Jennifer

I use and inplace family for the gable ends.

And you have not had any problems with the program crashing?

No, but I have seen where you have to remake the trim when you edit the roof, thats a draw back.

Jennifer its got alot to do with the orientation of the profile! try the one I sent with. Using Host sweep roof facia, after placing the first one along the top roof edge you just have to switch it over with the blue controllers then select and add segments. Hope this helps!!
