Windows xp pro
autocad 2006
microsoft intellimouse 3.0

If I assign the double click feature to any of the mouse buttons with the mouse software, the feature works in all software BUT autocad.
In autocad it only performs a single click no matter which button I assign it to.

Any ideas what is wrong??

Hi Ben

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the Hardware (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=36) forum to this one as I believe it would be better served here.

Thanks, Mike

Hi

Are you referring to AutoCAD Double Click functionality ie System variable DblClkEdit

ID: TS59374 - Quick method to begin editing process (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/item?id=2880695&linkID=2475323&siteID=123112)

OR

Something completely different ?

Have a good one, Mike

I have the dblclkedit set to yes and if I use my left button and click twice (double click) it works fine. If I use the mouse software and set any button to perform a doubleclick when it is pressed, it does not work in autocad. It works fine in all other software.

Does that make sense?

Hi

Try searching (http://forums.augi.com/search.php?) the AutoCAD 2006 CUI Menus (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=209) forum, using the below search criteria...

Key Word(s): Mouse + Button

Does that make sense?just to clarify, but are you asking your mouse software to make your 'single' click an automatic 'double' click? (my FIL has this on his puter, and it drives me nuts!!) ;)

Yes exactly.

When I push the scroll wheel button once, I want it to perform a double click.

Usually you just tell the mouse software that the wheel button should be set to 'doubleclick'

but that isn't working with autocad. It works everywhere else.

Do you know what mouse and drivers your FIL uses?

Thanks
