Worksets grayed out!

Hey there,

Sorry if this thread exists somewhere. I'm pretty new to forums as well as Revit. We are trying to break out a revit file into worksets. The worksets box is grayed out. A number of phases and options have been created within the file. We wonder if this is causing the porblem? Any ideas? Hope to hear from ya soon! Thanks!

You need to click the puzzle piece icon first? Make sure you are in a drawing window instead of the project browser

The puzzle piece (workset graphics button) is grayed out as well. We tried the worksets command in several drawing views to no avail.

I guess you 'll need to send that to support. I've never had that issue.

Problem resolved. We were editing in a template file! The solution to this problem involved simply changing the revit template extension .rte with the revit drawing extenstion .rvt

ahh, I should have thought of that, you can't activate / set up worksets in a template file.
