Is there any way to convert an ellipse into a circle? I know that you can physically change the appearance, but I want AutoCAD to recognize the shape as a circle not an ellipse. Is it possible?

If you mean with core AutoCAD, then no. Unless you start the CIRCLE command, use the 2P option and snap to two of the quad's of the ellipse (I assume you want the circle to have the same diameter as the major or minor axis of the ellipse?)
This could be done fairly easily using lisp or vba though.

I figured that was the easiest way to change it, I was hoping there was a command to convert shape, but I guess there probably isn't...
