Display of Room Tags

How do I turn off visibility of a single room tag while leaving all other room tags on?
I tried a FILLED REGION of color white to blank it out but it only blanks out MODEL objects not tags. Send to front/back had no effect.
I tried dragging the tag outside the plotted area but it didn't like going beyond the room boundaries. (The tag I want to hide is named "family dine stair entry" which is an open plan area that I want to have scheduled as one room, but I dont want it named as such on the plan !

Just delete the tag from the plan view. You'll get a message if this is the only view that the room tag is present in, in which case you'll just click "Ok". Your schedule will still show the information about that space. Your only problem is the area will show as "Not Tagged". If you want the area to display, duplicate your view with detailing first, then go to the view you're going to place on the sheet and delete the room tag. Your schedule will show all the info about that room because the space is tagged in another view. Remember, you can create multiple views and not all need to end up on a sheet :)
