I am just splitting some floor to get certain pattern show up on it, and wondering about this...
Can you remove the split face once it's applied?...
So far I found split face is not as flexible as the fill region method when I wanted to have certain pattern applied. I noted that in the new 6.1 version fill region can actually be transparent also !... while I am still using 6.0 I am already quite like fill region method as long as the underlying floor don't change too much or have objects of complex outline that I need to trace around it.

Yes, just select the split face , then delete it.

Or edit it if you only need to change one area back to the host.

For some reason, I can not pick the split region with the "modify" pointer. It selects the entire object (a floor in this case). If I use the split region tool, it finally highlights it seperate from the floor, but this doesn't help me to delete the split region. Anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Tap the tab key to cycle to it.

Pick around the junction between your regions, keep hitting the tab key til it highlights the sketch lines and you should find that it offers the chance to edit, but if you just left click when they are selected and press delete you should get what you want.

Actually, that is what I have been trying. Tab just beeps at me. I know I have deleted them before, but it really doesn't want to do it. I have all of my worksets active (and I have tried it with the tick out of editable only).
I hope it's not it, but does switching to wireframe help?

Are you using Design Options?
