Gable Roof

What is the best way to construct a Gable Roof? I have swithed over from ADT but there are some things I am still having trouble with. How do i convert a hip roof to a gable roof.

when creating a roof in the roof plan, click on the section you want as a gable roof then go to top and un-click "defines slope". This will go from hip to gable. Then click on wall below and use the "attach" "top" option to pull wall to meet roof.
