Color Fills and Floors

I have a second floor plan which I color filled. As soon as I turned on the visibility of floors, the color fill did not display anymore. I need them visible because there are some cut-outs, walkways etc with open space below that I want to show and I think it's silly to have to add linework in the view. Anyone had this problem? Is this by design? I tried setting the floors on Level 1 and offsetting them 14' to get them back in the same position but it didn't work.

Ok, I had a Duh moment...my apologies. My view was in hidden line mode.:Oops:

I usually duplicate my view, turn the floors / surf patterns on in one and the color fills in the other. Place them ontop of each other on the sheet and turn the one with the surf. patterns to wireframe.

is this really the only/best way to get color fill to show with the floors "on"???
