Anybody seen this one before? It happened bringing a 5.0 project (that started in 4.0) forward to 5.1. After clicking ok, revit gives an irrecoverable error message and poof.
Is there a way to search the file what object has that id number, rather the picking each one an looking at the id?
thanks,
Chris
Haven't seen that one before and I hope I never do. Go to tools, element IDs and then select by ID and type the id number in to select the object and you will probably want to delete it in version 5 so you don't have the 5.1 bad thing happening. I had a couple of windows that gave me a problem but no error like you got.
I hope it works after that.
Y.

"I hate when that happens!"
(Actually, it hasn't, to me, but I used to love those Saturday Night Live skits with Billy Crystal & Christopher Guest, where that was the punch line.)
I hope I never see that message either, Z. You musta done something verry naughty!

Thanks for the tip Y, but this files got no love for me.
When I try to find the element by id number in 5.0 I get this error:

Then it get into a cycle of show this error then the search box, over and over. The only way out is a ctrl-alt-delete end task
Looks like I'll be sending this puppy off to revit.

That is a bit of a worry, I havent seen it either, but I have noticed files that have seen a few releases do have some weird glitches and tend crash more often..
The most annoying one is the walls (whatever type) are displayed incorrectly, change the width to display them correctly!!! anybody seen that one?
