I have a drawing with some linked dwg files and when I try to export to a dwg the linked files are missing from the exported file. How do I remedy this?

Chances are they're there, but you don't see them.
When I import .dwg made from old microstation .dgn files, Revit autoreads the units as inches, and I think microstation defaults to feet, so I usually manually select feet when importing.
I find when I re-export these, as you are doing, each drawing comes out as a block, and the exported .dwgs revert back to their original state, i.e. 1/12 the size.
So if you have a cluttered export, chances are they're there, just much smaller, and depending on their acad/microstation origin, might be in virtual outer space at that scale.
I remedy this by opening the drawing in acad, find & select the block, go to properties, & scale it back up.

dwgs linked will be xrefed once exported so you may have to check the path in acad
