yes...
i think that some functions in , are very interresting ...
i think the advantage of REVIT is there is all versions in one
Architect, landscape ..etc ...
so ...
see it at : http://www.nemetschek.net/upgrade/eleven.html
i think it's the only product that can do some shadow at REVIT
(because function, power and interface!!)
but we wait 6.1 FR here.. and 7.x version this year ..

I totally disagree. Unless they changed the program a lot, it is not BIM but Object-CAD in autodesk terms. Sections are not live, etc. It is more like ADT, but better at modelling from what I undrstand. If I misspeak here, please correct me. I do remember that the marketing for VW was VERY good and made the program look very tempting. Wes Benn is a former VW poweruser who has come over to Revit in a big way...maybe he has some input?

There's definitely some new stuff in VW11, but it's still the same pony. Sections are dead, and workgroup references can blow up your project! Not having material definitions with built in hatching, having to build layer links... then having to rebuild the layer link if the model changes floor to floor heights... ugh -- I'm not going back there!
Aaron's feelings about ADT are about the same as mine with VW.

all right .. i think the same thing of you ...
but it's not "worm" to see what the enemy develop
the section is dead ..
yes .. not in revit...
it's a good thing for Revit..
but ..
why we can't export in vectoriel format ?
(export a section in PDF format for example.. it's a bitmap export!!!!)
lot of thing must be inserted in new revit...
i think structural module arrive in 7.0 version ...
if i buy Revit and not VectorWorks or Archicad..
it's simply ... REVIT have more future that other old developpement AEC software...

If you export (or more accurately 'print') as a PDF it will be a bitmap but any view in Revit can be exported in vector format. Export as DWG, DXF or DGN files.
