Has anyone had much success in exporting to RISA. All HSS shapes in REVIT model are not recognized by RISA or vice versa. Also, joints created in the RISA export are offset by the member thickness(i.e. beam/column) making a model unstable if analyzed. Is there any information/tutorials available. Currently using S2 and exploring S3.

To be honest, it appears that Revit may also have an issue with HSS framing. There are a few other posts with regards to problems with HSS framing

Hi Paul,
1st, could you list a couple of the members that aren't being exported to Risa, that would help me try to reproduce it.
2nd, you mention that the analytical model is off for both columns and beams. Would it be possible for you to grab a screencapture (ctrl+printscr) (or Alt+printscr). So that we can see which things are off in Risa vs. Revit. I.e., is the analytical model incorrect in Revit too or do you think it's getting incorrect in the transition from Revit to Risa.
If you could post the model (or a sample model) that might help too.
There are some issues with analytical model in beam systems but most can be adjusted through the beam properties (of individual beams in the beam system) under "analytical projection plane". Here you can specify that the analytical model should be at the level (if that is where you want it)
Thanks!
