This one has me stumped. The only thing I'm trying to do is change a color
of a split face cmu block in accurender. It will not let me change it. It says
read only file.
I've unchecked the read only box in every material and the revit.mlib file.

Can someone help?

thx

Hi,
do you want to "edit" the existing material, then Save As new material name by going inside accurender materials editor / dialogue box etc. , is this what you mean ?

You will want to create a new wall style and then change the material. You dont want to change elements that are shipped with revit because at the next upgrade or patch you would lose any changes that you made to that object. We create a sub dir in each dir so that you dont need to worry about losing anything at upgrade time and you can just copy or move the dir that you created into the new dir hierarchy. ie Revit 8.1 to Revit 9.0
