Can someone elaborate more on the following, especially the enhancement to stringers, landings, treads and risers?
Stairs
Tired of spending so much time generating
accurate sections and elevations from your 2D
stair plans? Now you can convert that 2D lifework
to a fully described stair in Architectural Desktop.
Not only do you have the flexibility of improved
graphic control over your stair’s plan and model
views, you get to take advantage of additional stair
enhancements such as improved stringer, landing,
tread, and riser control.

I can probably elaborate on it in a couple weeks.

The new convert linework to stairs is fricken' awesome!!!! Take any 2D linework representing your stair & you can turn it into one. You can take mass elements & add them as body modifiers. You can customize the treads & risers using grips in a way similar to mass elements. Just simply amazing! The stairs in ADT are IMO, ready to rock.

Your enthusiasm sounds like a man who attended an Autodesk ADT Bootcamp class. ;)You too, huh? The track I was on saved ADT for the last day & boy was I glad cause it gave me something to look forward to all week. I wouldn't have made it thru otherwise. I really am excited by the enhancements they've made to ADT!

They didn't allow for use of profile shapes for stringers in this new release.
I wonder if you can add a body modifier to the stringers.
I like how you can add body modifiers to structural members.
I tried the stair by linework and couldn't get it to work on this one stair I was doing.
You can't do it with a stair that wraps over itself. That would have to be done with two or three seperate stairs.

I agree, the stairs from line work is fantastic.
