Transfer Project Standards In a Workset

We have a project that has a Central file and worksets; but, project standards need to be transfered from another project into our current workset/Central file. Should standards be transfer into a workset and then "Save to Central" or should the transfer be made in the Central file only? With my time in Revit, I think this will not be an issue either way.

I would just open both central files, transfer as needed, save the current project's central file, close both, then open your local and update everything.

Thanks for the response guys. For the new Revit users here, I may have them transfer standards through the workset and not touch the Central file.
