Hello,

Our company is making a series of sets showing different buildings. I thought I knew how to add a Label to the titleblock but its not working.

First I open up my titleblock in the Family Editor
then I place a label
I "add" a parameter

then select a parameter type
then select a parameter group
Then Edit
New parameter
New Group
and I type in Name, Discipline ( Common), Type ( text)

I then make it back to Select Parameter and I choose the parameter I just created.
with a value

In the Family Editor it shows up nicely, however I want to, after its been loaded to change it just like I change the Sheet Name. However it doesn't show up and when I select the titleblock it only shows up as a ? mark.

What next?

Did you add the shared parameter in the project to the Drawing Sheets category? That should get you what you need.

I had just the same problem.
You need to add the parameter to the project parameters. Go to the settings menu and select project parameters, then pick the add button. Select shared parameter and locate your parameter file, group and parameter. In the categories area check the Drawing Sheet.

Here's the problem: you need to do this in each project AND in the template file (so that it is done in any future projects.

Hope that helps.
