I love the curtain wall command in Revit. It is just so easy to create and modify curtain walls compared to other applications. The one problem I have is locating the face of the curtain wall where I want it. Is there any trick to this? I usually have to layout the curtain wall, apply the mullions, then move the entire curtain wall assembly to align the face of the mullions with the face of an adjacent wall or other reference point. It would be great if curtain walls could be located like wall (exterior face, interior face)

Use the move tool, then check disjoin, then pick an edge of the mullion and move it where you need it.

Most mullion families have a type parameter "offset". This will enable you to distance the curtain wall panel (glass?) from the centreline of the mullions.....eg. If you use 150 deep mullions with 6mm glass panels for your curtain wall, make your offset, say, 25mm, the result will be the outside face of the Glass panel 25mm from the centreline of the mullions.
have a go and get back to us.
