Cut hole through wall attached to roof

Hello,

a wall attached to a gable roof, where base height is pretty low for other reasons. I want to cut a large hole through it, in its "attached" or "extended" state. Edit profile only edits "non-attached" state. Is this possible?

Arced walls have the opening button, but normal walls dont. Maybe I should use an arced wall? Just kidding...

Set the top of wall attachment to the next level higher. Then when you go to edit the elevation profile of the wall, Revit will 'temporarily" disable all attachements, which will give you the extra distance you need. Edit the profile as necessary. When you finish sketch, the attachment to the roof will return, and your cut profile will remain.
