Highlight Select Preview

This is, I assume, a setvar to turn off the highlighting feature when the cursor is hovering above something in a dwg. Is there an ARX file that needs to be loaded for this to work when the command is typed in at the command line?
Yes I know it can be accessed through TOOLS>OPTIONS>etc.....
