Does anyone know whether you can specify or vary the height or level of a room separation line - or is it always fixed to the parent level it was placed on via area settings?

I have many split levels and room tags, and the room separation line is fixing itself to the parent level, and not the split level. I want to specify that the RSL on the split level is placed at the split level and at a certain height above that floor, not at the parent level offset (as in area settings > room calculations).

I hope that makes sense - any ideas?

I believe it gets placed on the level associated with the view you place the Room Separation Line in. So in your case you need to create a level at your split level elevation. I don't see any other "height" setting you can modify.

You can always use the plane tool to set the current work plane to any surface you like.

Thanks anyway. I thought so. There does not seem to be a way to alter the RSL from one half level to another in the same view. It would be handy nonetheless.

Aaron, I tried that and drew a model line and a room separation line. The model line went to the plane I had it set to (I made a reference plane, named it and set it as the current workplane), but the room separation line went to the level associated with the view.
