We are looking to donate a working ReproTechnology blueliner 5000. All it needs is new ammonia. We are in the Baltimore area. Any takers?

Just turn it on, anyone that wants it will smell it for miles... ;) j/k

My boss sold his last year at a garage sale... really.

I told the owner that we should just junk it. He said no that we could get at least a $1,000.00 tax write off for donating it. <Insert laughter here.> I then asked him how we would go about finding that one person old enough to know what one was, and how we would go about contacting him/her in BFE. I figured the CAD museum has already received about 150 donations and they are now turning them into sculptures and boat anchors by now.

Oh I am sorry, did that meteor fall from the sky and crush it?
Insurance claim should be about $50.

Had one around my office until it no longer worked. Convince him
it is broken and throw it out.

I've been trying to start an antique drafting tools collection. This one sounds like an eBay (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&from=R10&catref=C6&satitle=blueline+machine&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&bs=Search&fsop=1%26fsoo%3D1&coaction=compare&copagenum=1&coentrypage=search&fgtp=&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=76133&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=)candidate, though.

I emailed my old company in Gaithersburg, MD to see if they were interested. They used to reproduce old vellum and sepias, every once in a while. I will let you know what their response is when I get it.

I got the response that I expected. Here it is, "Everything is scanned. We still have the old machines, but per Bob he would like to sell on ebay. I have not look this up, but I doubt we can get much for them."

Sorry, I guess ebay may be the answer.

Sorry, I guess ebay may be the answer. Why sorry? Go buy pizza or doughnuts with the proceeds.

We could probably make more money taking bets on how long it will sit on Ebay!

The good natured homorous responses is exactly what I told him to expect. I am just surprised that these things still sell, but I can't give it away.
